Dr Lucy Furfaro is a NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow within the Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on the field of perinatal microbiology, in particular perinatal pathogens including Streptococcus agalactiae (also known as Group B Streptococcus) and exploration of antibiotic alternatives such as bacteriophage therapy.
