Patrick Laffy

Patrick is a Research scientist and bioinformaticist working at the Australian Institute of Marine Science. He works across a variety of omic centred projects, primarily focussed on microbial community populations and dynamics within Tropical marine ecosystems. Research projects include the development of microbial observatories within the GBR, symbiont community analysis within marine invertebrates, and bacterial and host genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics and meta-transcriptomics. He is involved in multiple projects within the Reef Restoration and Adaptation program, and is an active member of the AIMS equity and diversity strategic working group.
