Awarded PhD in molecular microbiology at the University of Sydney in 2005
• 15 years of microbiology lab experience in translational clinical research
• Ability to work in a busy environment with resources shared between multiple departments and teams
• A flexible, positive, "can do" attitude with a willingness to adapt and learn
• Managing research team, supervising research assistants and over 10 research students
• Organising weekly lab meetings, providing project progress reports and feedback
• Liaise with different stakeholders including clinicians, industry partners and collaborators
• Published over 70 scientific research papers and reviewed over 50 scientific research papers
• Presented in over 30 scientific conferences locally and internationally
Working in a clinical research laboratory as a research fellow, I managed a research team, supervised research assistant and students with multiple projects, presented and published research outcomes, as well as continually develop and update my knowledge and specialised skills to adapt to different research projects need.
