Bioinformatics for Microbial Ecology and Genomics — ASN Events
9:00AM - 3:00PM

This workshop aims to cater for all levels, and give users a general overview of tools that they could use in a real world microbial genomics workflow.   It will also introduce some of the concepts and tools used in microbial ecology studies, with the genomic examples also being applicable for ecology or medical scenarios. Some elements of the workshop will be hands on (using a remote machine you can run on your computers online) and some will be demonstrated.  We will supply you with a dataset and you will be able to access the software data and tutorials after the workshop should you wish to continue in your own time.  As it's a Sunday afternoon we also aim to make this fun and open and chat about any microbial bioinformatics topic that come up.
